No Internet Connection in the Province.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Holidays are my haziness because it is a way of escaping my pressure job even for a short period of time. We are just lucky that we were given a chance to have a break this Christmas season, unlike those employees who celebrated their christmas alone in their company.

I'm running out of time to think the best topic to be posted here. Right now while I am writing this, I still cannot find a good resource here.

Anyway, I wish all of you guys will have a prosperous new year. May god Bless us all.

Twitter Hacked Yesterday.

Though I am late to post this but to those who do not know yet that Twitter has been hacked again who claimed to be the IRANIAN CYBER ARMY responsible for this incident.
This is just a lesson for us the twitterers not to use the same passwords to our other accounts.
For security reasons, we have to used different passwords to our social media accounts or any other web accounts.

Updates:

Twitter now resumed and is now working properly even if its a third party DNS attack, twitter is still the top most-visited social networking sites in the world.

Friendster has been sold to an Asian Company

Monday, December 14, 2009

I just knew that Friendster has been sold to an Asian Company, MOL Global, a malaysian e-commerce company bought the friendster for $100 million.
MOL global takes now the full ownership of Friendster, the social network that boosts traffic in the Asia-Pacific region. That's why they have redesigning the friendster.
According to the report, Friendster claimed that they have 75 million registered and still the active users are still a mystery. As we can see now, friendster has been left behind by many users after facebook launched.

PLDT MyDSL Watchpad

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Actually, my friends always dragged me into their home especially during that Cotto-Pacquiao fight. Honestly, I am not into boxing and I don't even watched the Pacquiao's fight. What I want was only to know who won the fight.

I didn't know that she was already connected her internet and I was shocked because the last time she had a complaint regarding his internet provider.

I asked her if she also subscribed to any cable network, she said no. She explained that she was using the PLDT MyDSL Watchpad which had a free live stream video of no commercial breaks of Pacquiao's fight. Wow, it was amazing. Really.. I just knew that she subscribed to PLDT DSL and can watch using the PLDT MyDSL Watchpad for free of any live videos.

Since I love to watch movies online and etc.. I've decided to to get subscribed in PLDT MyDSL Watchpad.

According to the report, Watchpad are currently be aired in 14 channels, MTV, CNN, GMA, Pinoy Box Office (PBO), CNBC, Animax, National Geographic, Cartoon Network, Crime Scene Investigation, History Channel, The Biography Channel, Go, E!, and myView as well as award-winning Filipino indie movies.  This is from the sunstar.com.ph.

Friendster Profile Changed

Friendster changed their template again trying to compete facebook I guess. Well, as we all know that facebook is getting bigger traffic with the increasing number of users in it then friendster is being left behind.
As you can see, their template color changed to green. Your profile page is just like facebook, you can share of what your are doing.
But I have not checked first my online Friends and you still can't chat with them.
So, to those of you who haven't checked yet your friendster, better check it now and be amazed.

Fabulous Desserts at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Last night, we really enjoyed our early Christmas Party at one of the five star hotels in Cebu City.
We had a great time especially with their fabulous and sweet taste of desserts being served to us. The cakes, fruits, the salad, and etc.

Cebu is known for the best filipino made desserts in which we are proud of.
Desserts may come a variety of flavours and styles and taste. We, the filipinos are always proud of our own made desserts.
Last night, I enjoyed eating the fruits such as the ripped manggo, pineapple, watermelon and a lot more.

What are spam comments and spam email messages?

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Have you experienced being spammed by spammers in your blog or even in you email? Have you check your spam emails and read a bit of it?
According to wikipedia, Spam is an automatic uploading or messaging systems to many sites.
I have received many spam emails and read half of it. Most of the spam messages contain only one thought. You may read some of it in that photo above.
They may inform you that you have just won 1 million in the lotto draw or may ask your help to get your bank account because they need to transfer it to your account (daw?) but actually they're trying to fool you, and steal your savings deposit.
Guys, be very careful of this kind of messages or you may report it to the authorities.

How are you going to avoid it?

That's why in your email there is a spam folder. So, it is already segregated. It's better not to read them all instead delete it instantly. They're may be harmful if you let them to.

Beware guys.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Declared the National Day of Mourning Yesterday

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Sunstar Cebu reported that Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared the National mourning day yesterday as 57 bodies found dead in the Maguindanao massacre.
From the day I was born, I guess this has been the most violent massacre I have heard.

I hopte this should be resolved soon and the suspects should be captured and be punished for their evil-works.
As per sunstar cebu reported that the top suspect was Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr., the son of a powerful regional politician in Maguindanao. Mayor Mangudadatu had lost his wife and his two sisters. Most of the victims were media men who was abducted by the armed people.

Updates will be posted here soon.

Police Clearance Requirements

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Police clearance is necessary for the for filling any documents for securities and protection for the agencies or any legal purposes.

Police Clearance
is one of the requirements for employment, getting passport, or even opening of bank accounts and or any other agencies that requires you to have.
How to get a police clearance in the philippines particularly in Cebu?

Here's a simple step you need to do:

  1. Get a commnunity tax certificate or sedula at your barangay or town.
  2. Get a Barangay Clearance from the barangay where you live.
  3. Go to police station or to get your police clearance.
  4. You will be given a form and fill-out all the necessary fields, after you have given your information, give it to the officer in charge for the thumb marks.
  5. A valid id is also needed. (better if you photocopy it first) Two copies of 2x2 picture and the money. (just bring 200 pesos plus to make sure, i forgot the exact amount)
  6. Submit all your requirements
  7. Wait for the instructions when you can get your police clearance. (Mostly, they will release your requested police clearance the next day, the same time you have submitted your request)

Smart Bro Promo - for your Internet Connections

Sunday, October 25, 2009

As I had mentioned to my previous post about Smart Bro for our internet connection. To give you a recap, my brother bought a Smart Bro USB kit - it's a prepaid actually.
He paid for P1,995.00 just for the sim and the casing (USB style), but that's not included in your internet connection. You need to buy a prepaid load for P20.00/hour.

But today, We went to the mall to meet up someone, the Smart Bro broadband promoted their product. Before you can buy a prepaid plug-it of P1,995.00 but now its P995.00. There's a big difference, isn't it? With the speed of up to 2mbps, free 5 hours surfing P10.00 for every 30 minutes or P20.00/hour. It's a wireless connection actually via USB connection.

Now, they have added services with per minute charging. I don't know how to register on that per minute charging with SMS feature P1.00/text.

The minimum system requirements are:

500 MHz or higher
512 MB of RAM or higher
at least 20mb or hard disk space, USB 2.0,
Operating system:
Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Mac OSx 10.4 (tiger), or 10.5 (leopard)

They are also having a plan for P999.00 per month - unlimited access of internet.

I don't know if when this promo will end.

Smart BROOh.. Are you having a slow internet connection?
Well, I guess I'm proud to introduce SMART BRO! yay. THis is not a paid review huh... Smart Bro is like a USB where you can insert it in your computer anytime, anywhere.
Just insert it in your computer's USB port and there you have it.

Logically, you cannot use your SMART BRO without having a load. Loading your SMART BRO is just like loading your simcard's phone number..It's so easy.

You know what, it is so boring to have a computer without internet connection. I mean, you cannot just chat, explore, surf and get connected with your friends. But if you have all the necessary programs installed in your computer, you're gonna get boring.

99 Days More to Go Before Christmas

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Oh.. Christmas! I can hear now the fresh scents of christmas wind. I am now hearing some old christmas songs.
I wonder now to which and where to buy christmas decors. I know what you think, I'm too early for this, right? But it's better to buy early so that I can save enough money. As you may know that we should buy early before it will be getting expensive.

In Manila, I've watched TV patrol in abs-cbn that a lot of christmas decors, lights, parols can be bought in Divisoria and in Quiapo.
Here in Cebu, Street vendors have been posted their RTW's in the street of Osmena boulevard going to Fuente Osmena. Most of the vendors are muslims. There you will be introduced of their unique products which are made only here in the Philippines such as keychains, rtws, slippers, stickers, wallets, borloloys, and any stuffs that are useful at very affordable price.

Tambagi ko Noy Kulas ug Dear Papa Jo

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

I'm sure a lot of Cebuanos are aware with this two famous people in Sunstar superbalita - a local newspaper in Cebu.
I must admit that I am also an avid reader of their columns. But sometimes, the problems compiled are only minors especially when we talk about Love, Boyfriend or girlfriends. These are the common problems I've read from the local newspaper.
I sometimes learned from their burdens in lives and with the counselors - Papa Jo and Noy Kulas helped them enlighten their minds. But, the main reason why I used to read their columns is that I just want hear their ridiculous stories (sometimes). Because there are some certain problem that supposedly not to be broadcast. I mean - meaningless problems. That's why sometimes the commentators disregard them or disregard them. There are lots of made stories which is far from realities.

(hehehe) Mao na sometimes si Papa Jo mangasaba...

Who Owns Facebook?

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Now, facebook is competing with the other famous social networking sites. Like the competition of facebook versus friendster.
Well, for most filipinos, Friendster.com was famous way back 2-3 years ago. But after facebook came out, I have observed that almost all of them who joined friendster before is now joining facebook. But they have given more importance of updating their profiles in Facebook.
Facebook is really innovating its applications like Farm Town, Farm Ville, Waka-Waka, Typing maniac and so forth.
But aren't you wondering who owns facebook?

My friend just told me that google owns it. Wow... i think no other search engines or any innovations can compete google.

Hard to Choose the Best Brand and best quality but affordable laptops

Me and my boyfriend went to the mall today just to roam around and at the same time we went for window shopping in the technology center. Just thinking if we could own a laptop (nangarap pa).
It was really hard to choose which kind of laptop are we going to buy someday, where and what brand, the quality and it's capacity to store more of our files. But, anyway, this is just only my dream...
We hop from boutique to the other boutique and read some vital description in which to give us the idea to choose for the best for our satisfaction but at of course at very reasonable prices.
I know, it's too early to canvass for the prices, the brands and etc. but to give us a brief knowledge/idea in which we are fully satisfied.

Are you in favor of Noynoy's Candidacy for 2010 election?

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Well, I'm not quietly sure if NoyNoy will run for the president for 2010 election. I just want to comment of Senator Mar Roxas' side on giving up his efforts, money, time to run as the President for Noynoy. His desires to cure for this country had exterminated.

As far as I know, Noynoy is a quiet person that I didn't recognize his works for this country. Maybe he will be better president for the betterment of this Coutry.
Korina Sanchez - the famous Broadcaster and his Fiancee cried during Mar's speech on giving his way for Noynoy.

But I guess, Senator Mar Roxas would be a better president than Noynoy.
Whatever it is.. Its up to us. Let's just hope and pray for the 2010 election.

What's for the Lunch? Fried Chicken with Hot sauce

Fried Chicken near USJRWhat's for the lunch tomorrow? Fried Chicken again?
I couldn't resists the temptation of perpetually eating fried chicken with hot sauce and with two to three hanging rice or pusu/poso.
Sometimes, we just laugh each other everytime we eat those hot and spicy fried chicken sauce because someday we might have a feather grown in our armpit. (hehhe)
By the way, to lessen the budget and in order to save more cash, you can only buy this near University of San Jose-Recoletos, beside Metrobank. I don't know what street that is.
A lot students used to eat there because its very affordable and their fried chicken compete with that in Jollibee or in Mc Donalds, Showking or any fast food chain.
Hey, there are also fried chicken station beside SOGO hotel, our favourite eating place is located beside Metrobank near USJR.

Unwinding in the Mall

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Oh.. Tired of staying at home the whole day, watching tvs, movies, internet surfing, updating my blogs alone. I ended up right now unwinding from one mall to the other. I just went Robinsons Mall and after staying there for how many minutes, I transfered from Robinsons to Emall or Elizabeth Mall in N. Bacalso Avenue.

Hahay......

I acquianted two gentlemen who introduce me their networking Business which is UNO. I guess a lot of Cebuanos are familiar with this networking business. But they cannot convinced me to join them. We have different perceptions in life and I don't want to waste my time, money and effort to invest in any networking business. If I do, then it is just a waste of time. I just love to surf the net, blogging, and so forth.

I'm sure that business will only be lasted for a couple of years, but not forever. It won't last long.

Oh I'm totally bored

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Oh... I just resigned from my previous job.. I was hoping that I did the right decision/choice of quitting especially now during the financial crisis.
But because, I wanted to pursue a certain task given to me by my friend. I want to train myself with strict discipline and determination. I am giving myself one month to finish this.
If after one month still has no improvements, then that's the time to go out and look for my future.

Ka Erdie - Spiritual Leader finally bid Goodbye

I just watched the Live tv news that the influential spiritual adviser is now resting in peace. Many famous artists, Iglesia ni Kristo communities have come to mourn and even El Shadai Leader was also there.
He died of cardiopulmonary arrest at the age of 84. The public viewing of his remains will begin on Tuesday at 3pm in Iglesia Ni Kristo central temple in Commonwealth in Quezon City.
Actually, I don't know him that much but I'm sure he will always remain the people's heart and mine as an influential spiritual leader.
